Vintage Ideal Toy Robert the Robot 1950s Space Age Wonder Good Condition No Box

At auction is my vintage 1950s Ideal Toy Co. plastic, battery-operated, hand-cranked "Robert The Robot" in good condition. It works with the use of a controller that has a spring drive on it, but it only works (sometimes) when the it's wound in reverse. As the crank is turned, the arms move up and down (sometimes). There is a crank on the back for the "voice" (actually a record and you can't understand what he's saying), but it only makes noise when Robert is held upside down. The battery compartment and switch are present, but the top with the light are missing. (Someone creative could probably source something from a C-cell flashlight.) I do not have the box it came in. Now for the positive side: for being more than 50 years old, it's in very nice condition with no cracks, it's clean and shiny and both arms along with the clear plastic lens on top are present. It makes a very nice, nostalgic display piece!Robert is 14 1/2" tall, 5 1/2" wide, and 6 1/4" deep.Ships by Priority Mail in the US; others please ask first.
