Babyhood Newborn AIBO feels insecure and often cries. So give lots of encouragement and care to comfort it. It will eventually become able to find the pink ball and recognize its own given name. Childhood AIBO is still immature. It plays a lot and learns a lot. You can see the development of its distinct characteristics around this stage. Teen This is the most mischievous stage. It makes mistakes on purpose or ignores you. You might find it rebellious for awhile. This is also when it begins learning and acquiring different skills. Adulthood AIBO is now a mature adult. It will proudly perform wide range of tricks it has acquired through its development. But personality changes keep occurring as you change its environment and your way of interaction. Teaching Gestures Position AIBO's legs to demonstrate the gesture. AIBO will learn up to four different gestures. Teaching Motions You can name up to 10 motions out of all its capable motions. First, talk to AIBO. Then keep giving commands until it performs the target motion. When AIBO reaches the target motion, name it and teach AIBO the name you've given the motion. Once AIBO has learned the name, it will demonstrate the relevant motion at the call of the motion's name. You can also train AIBO to do your original gestures - name and store up to four gestures.
